Steps of the production

Just a quick look at our product allows you to recognize its high quality.

 The production of the craft pottery goes through several phases:

First, we extract the clay of about 3 to 5 meters from the quarries in the region known for its good quality clay. Then, we let it dry in the sun for a few weeks.

At the plant, we mix the clay with sand, salt and water in a large container and keep it there for 3 to 4 days.

Next, the paste is kneaded in a molding machine to make it ready to be handled by the craftsman who creates, thanks to his creativity, his experience and his expertise, unique items. Then, he lets them dry in the shade for about a week.

Then, we put the dried pottery in a large traditional oven for the phase of cooking which is done gradually, starting with heating up the oven during 2 – 3 days, then raising the temperature to 950°C or more by using an artisanal, biological method which gives the pottery a natural whiteness, a good porosity and a unique charm by using the olive-pomace as fuel. After that, the product goes through a cooling phase inside the oven for about a week to avoid that it is damaged due to the sudden change of temperature.

Finally, out of the oven, the product will be sent to the depot to be checked, cleaned and packaged.

Once packaged, our product is ready to be loaded and shipped to our amiable customers around the world.
