The craft pottery is rooted in the local traditions of the Maghreb countries and especially in Tunisia. Over time, the manufacturing of pottery in Tunisia has experienced several foreign influences throughout its history. Each region has been characterized by a type of pottery impregnated by past civilizations. The region of Moknine, located in the Tunisian Sahel, is characterized by a Berber, Byzantine and Arab influence. This region of the Sahel is considered by the special quality of its clay, by the cultural artisanal heritage and by the experience of its craftsmen what gives to our pottery a very high quality: frost-resistant and very durable for use outdoors and indoors... Our potteries are baked in 950°C with an artisanal, biological method, which results in a natural whiteness, a good porosity and a unique charm. To best meet all tastes and uses, antique forms and novelties - inspired of the traditional forms - expand our range of articles regularly. The Tunisian pottery lives a state of full effervescence. It is a world in relentless gestation, which feeds of a prestigious past, and constantly renewed in a fruitful diversity.
